The Lesbian Herstory Archives is home to the world’s largest collection of materials by and about lesbians and their communities. It was founded in New York 1974, one of the co-founders were Joan Nestle. In this Skype-lecture she tells the story of her work with the Archives, about a community’s will to remember, and how archives can turn “insult into hope”.
